PHARMAC appeared at the 2024 Synthetic Biology Industry Conference & Exhibition1

Hosted by East China University of Science and Technology, BioVision and BioValley, under the guidance of the Life Health Industry Development Administration Office of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area and the Chinese Society for Microbiology, the 2nd Synthetic Biology Industry Expo 2024 (SBC2024 for short) was grandly held at Nanjing Yangtze River International Conference Center on April 12–13, 2024.Under the theme of Building Life to Understand, Building Life to Utilize, the conference brought together more than 6 academicians, over 100 industrial experts and 3,000+ professional attendees, focusing on the disruptive technologies of synthetic biology. A total of 11 forums were held to map out the future blueprint of synthetic biology and boost the robust development of the synthetic biology industry.

Discussing the Future of the Synthetic Biology Industry

During the expo, Fucheng Haoxin jointly organized a closed-door seminar titled Seminar on the Future of the Synthetic Biology Industry with CEFOC Construction Group Co., Ltd. Moderated by Mr. Li Shiyuan, Director of Research at Hongshang Capital and Editor-in-Chief of Transformer, the seminar gathered more than 30 C-level and D-level professionals from the synthetic biology sector. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and interactive discussions covering multiple topics including regulatory compliance and biosecurity governance in the synthetic biology industry.

Gaining Insights into the Synthetic Biology Industry Landscape

At the dedicated forum on Pharmaceutical Intermediates and Microbial Therapy, Fucheng Haoxin joined forces with LeadLeo to officially release the Research Report on the Current Status and Prospects of China's Synthetic Biology Industry. Ms. Sun Rong, Chief Analyst of the Healthcare Sector at LeadLeo Shanghai Research Institute, delivered an in-depth interpretation of the report. From the perspective of shifting from "exploring nature to understand life" to "engineering life to understand life", the report offered profound insights into the current landscape and future development trends of the synthetic biology industry.

At the Fermentation Technology Forum of the expo, Mr. Wang Limeng, Senior Technical Manager of Fucheng Haoxin, delivered a keynote speech themed Design and Process Development of Fermentation Systems for Commercial Bioproduction. He shared successful practical experience in solving key technical challenges, including heat transfer in large-scale fermenters, dissolved oxygen control, feeding strategies, system sterility assurance and cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures, providing targeted solutions for the attending guests. Meanwhile, Fucheng Haoxin showcased its high-performance equipment cases, delivering solid technical support to synthetic biology enterprises on the path to commercialization.

One-Stop Solutions Empower the Synthetic Biology Industry

At this expo, Fucheng Haoxin launched its one-stop solution for synthetic biology enterprises for the first time, covering the full lifecycle from R&D and pilot-scale testing to industrial scale-up. Together with its invested subsidiary Votays, the company exhibited high-throughput parallel intelligent bioreactors at the booth.
